Dan Selec, whose son was diagnosed with autism, had a big idea: to train and then hire autistic students to work with technology. In 2008 he founded his nonprofit, the nonPareil Institute, which teaches software skills to those with autism and then hires many of them. Now, these workers are increasingly finding themselves in demand for the skills they’ve learned.

Don’t forget the Lunch and Learn Workshop on Preparing your Child for Kindergarten is this Thursday May 2, at 11:15 at the Child Development Center.
If you have a 5 year old who will be starting kindergarten next year, I invite you to attend the Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten – Lunch and Learn Workshop on Thursday, May 2 from 11:15am-12pm at the Child Development Center. Michelle Henrich, Badger Clark Elementary School principal, will present ways to help your child prepare for kindergarten and what to expect during the first few days of school.
